The 62nd edition of the Milan Furniture Fair will take place from April 16 to April 21, 2024, at the Rho Fiera Milano exhibition center. What’s new and must-see at the Milan Furniture Fair 2024

New layout for EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition

One of the main new features of the Milan Furniture Fair 2024 is the new exhibition layout of EuroCucina (Halls 2-4) and the International Bathroom Exhibition (Halls 6-10). The pavilions will have a ring-shaped path with a symmetrical route and stands positioned along the outer perimeter walls. Public spaces, points of inspiration, and areas of tranquility will characterize the visitor experience.

Exceptional artistic installations

Director David Lynch will create an installation titled “Interiors by David Lynch. A Thinking Room” (Halls 5-7), a mysterious and surprising place set up with iconic elements from his imagination. At Hall 10, “Under the Surface,” an immersive underwater installation dedicated to water and man’s relationship with this vital element, will be presented by Accurat, Design Group Italia, and Emiliano Ponzi.

25 years of SaloneSatellite

To celebrate 25 years of SaloneSatellite, the Milan Triennale will host a major retrospective exhibition (from April 16 to April 28) curated by Beppe Finessi. The exhibition will recount the history of this important platform dedicated to young designers through artifacts, prototypes, documents, and photographs.

Talks and round tables at the Milan Furniture Fair Arena

The fair’s cultural schedule will be enriched with talks and round tables hosted in the Milan Furniture Fair Arena, curated by Annalisa Rosso. Among the exceptional guests: Francis Kéré, John Pawson, Jeanne Gang, and Hans Ulrich Obrist.

Fuorisalone and Milan Design Week 2024

In parallel with the Milan Furniture Fair, Fuorisalone will animate the entire city of Milan with a dense calendar of events, exhibitions, and installations spread across different areas of the city. Among the most active districts will be Brera Design District, Tortona Design Week, 5vie Art+Design, Isola Design District, and Ventura Projects.

From April 15 to April 21, 2024, Milan will come alive with a rich program of events, exhibitions, and installations as part of Fuorisalone, the widespread event that accompanies the Milan Furniture Fair. Under the theme “Materia Natura”, designers, companies, and organizations will explore the relationship between man, design, and the environment, with the aim of analyzing the present, understanding the mistakes of the past, and proposing virtuous solutions for a more sustainable future.

The schedule will range from site-specific installations in the city center to projects that give new life to disused industrial architectures, inviting visitors to discover an unprecedented Milan. Among the protagonist districts, confirmations such as Brera, Tortona, and Isola, and new entries like the Porta Venezia Design District and the return of Barona with LABÒ. There will also be exhibitions in museums, galleries, showrooms, and iconic places of Milanese design.
